trade for Halladay?

Mixed league 12 team keeper with K's, Holds and quality starts. Sitting in 3rd place with a great offense in need of wins (I have Bumgarner & Carpenter) and more K's. Been offered Halladay, Venters, Kubel & R Roberts for Panda Sandoval, Bumgarner, Britton and A Bailey. Bum & Britton are super cheap and can be kept for several years very cheaply. Is it too much to give up for the package I'm getting? My fear is that Halladay's big salary will handicap me so I can't make any further trades.

I don't think I would look to much beyond this year and there is no question that this trade could push you to a title. You are getting the best player and the best part of the deal and I would hit accept without too many worries. What other trades do you think you will need to do the rest of the year that being handicapped will hurt you?

I suppose it matters who you have at 3rd and the salary of Pablo; if you need saves etc. But win now whenever possible has always been my theory and Halladay for lesser pieces would seem to help you win this year

You HAVE to take this deal, simple as that. Nothing else to it, you are winning out by a mile in my opinion.
