I'm in a shallow 8 team 5x5 head to head league. This will be my lineup after this week as Mauer, Holliday and HanRam all return. I'll be cutting Hosmer. I sacrificed some good pitching to add some sick hitters to my lineup. In a shallow league, I find there is always pitching available and I've been streaming 1 starter each week. I'm just looking for thoughts on how to make this team better?

Some available pitchers are Brandon Morrow, Bud Norris, Phil Humber, Brett Anderson (DL), Brian Matusz, Daniel Hudson, Ted Lilly, Ervin Santana and Justin Masterson.

Thanks everyone!!

I like Daniel Hudson personally, but is there any way you could try and trade for a new SP? You could probably afford to trade Nelly and Jeter, and Dunn if anyone is interested in him.

For one, keep Hosmer, cut Jeter, and try to trade Adam Dunn for whatever you can get. I would also trade Hosmer instead, as you might get something for him. But Jeter should not be someone's Utility. If you think he has value, trade him instead.

Whoa whoa whoa don't cut Hosmer! Trade him! You can definitely get someone worth a roster spot in return.

Believe it or not... in an 8 team league, nobody wants Hosmer. LOL .... I'm having a real hard time thinking about cutting Jeter or ARam. Jeter scores a lot of runs and has stolen 7 bags. Jeter is also nice insurance incase HanRam isn't healthy when he returns. ARam is due to start hitting for power. Is Hosmer really worth keeping over one of those 2?

I wouldn't cut ARam so quickly, Jeter i would give up in a heartbeat. ARam is starting to come around with power and with the current depth at 3B ARam is still a good option.

Mauer is coming off the DL this Thursday. Do I cut Montero or try to keep him on my bench? I don't really want 2 catchers (could cut Dunn), but Mauer's health worries me and Montero is currently the 3rd rated fantasy catcher.... thoughts?
