Victorino for Helickson WHIR

Postby jaysfreak13 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 3:49 pm

If some of you recall I had Victorino on my bench well just this weekend I was finally able to get a pitcher in a trade and I feel that I got a decent one in Jeremy Helickson I know he's a rookie but with only one bad start this year and he's doing really well I think this was a good offer for a hitter that I was switching back and forth between him and Bourn depending on if and how many I was leading in SBs

Yahoo 12 Team 5X5

Here's my roster as it stands now
C Russell Martin NYY
1B/3B Kevin Youkilis BOS
2B Dan Uggla ATL
3B Alex Rodriguez NYY
OF Carl Crawford BOS
OF Michael Bourn HOU
OF Carlos Quentin CHW
UTL/1B Paul Konerko CHW

SP Shaun Marcum MIL
SP Max Scherzer DET
RP Mark Melancon HOY
RP Chris Perez CLE
P Drew Storen WSH
P Andrew Bailey OAK
P Kyle Lohse STL
BN Annibal Sanchez FLA
BN Jeremy Helickson TB
BN Zack Britton BAL
BN Eric Bedard SEA
BN Johnny Cueto CIN

At the present moment I'm in 1st and have a 9.5 lead on 2nd place and have won even with a comfortable lead I'm still up for anything that can make my roster better for the 2nd half of the season without sacrifing anything of my hitting I won 6 weeks all convincingly tying 3 and only losing 1 (5-4)

Confused. Are you asking if we like this trade for you, or just telling us you like it? Hm, my 2¢: I think you might have been able to peddle Victorino for someone even better than Hellickson, esp to a team that needs speed/runs. Helly has nice WHIP/ERA but doesn't K many.

More in less asking your thoughts on it I've actually tried that route all the other offers I've gotten werent up to value I've been shopping Victorino for a couple weeks in the league I'm in. The pain of mine is no one is really willing to trade really good pitching an hanging on to most of them so for a few of them I've had to go the waiver route.

The same guy had Hanson but wouldn't give him up unless I traded either Quentin, or Konerko the way both have been playing I didn't feel either were worth it.
