ERA under 3 and a WHIP of 1.15, and hasn't given up more than 3 ER since mid April. Anyone buying into this?

I added him in 480 player deep Hot Stove and rolled him out his last two starts ... it's helped me climb from last to 9th in WHIP.

Meh. A decent real-life pitcher, but as far as fantasy goes, I'm not sure he's really useful in a 5x5 type setting. Decent control, few Ks. He does put up a nice WHIP since he has good control.

He won't sustain an ERA under 3. He's probably more of 4.00 ERA/1.30 WHIP type. 3 years ago that was a decent enough line, but for a guy who doesn't really get you any strikeout or Ws, he's basically a 0 category contributor who can "eat innings" for your staff without killing your ERA/WHIP too much. Like I said, an OK real-life pitcher, but not really a guy I'd want in fantasy.

That said, I suppose he's a decent spot starting option when he's up against week offenses.

Added him in 3 out of 3 leagues, 2 of which I'm desperate for pitching, and one which is a deep league team. I like him in deeper formats.

Keep riding him. He won't go deep into games, but should help ERA / WHIP. Any extra K's are a bonus.

Trade him if you can, but it's doubtful you could get much from a knowledgeable owner.
