Drop a bat or an arm to pick up a Prado replacement?

Postby hpham45 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 2:54 am

I have two DL spots which are occupied by Heyward and Peavy. Now that Prado is on the DL, I have to find a replacement at 2b while Prado sits on my bench.

So here is my dilemma. I can drop Boesch or Moustakas for someone like Cuddyer to play 2b. However I wanna ride Boesch while he's hot and I wanna keep Moustakas around to see what he's capable of.

I can also drop Burnett since he isn't anything special and hopefully try to pick up again later on. I'm leading towards Burnett since pitchers only pitch once/twice a week compared to hitters who play almost everyday.

I'd consider dropping Peavy. He only had one good start since coming back and he landed right back on the DL. At this point his health and effectiveness are major question marks and I don't think he's worth a spot over any of your guys. Burnett stinks a bit, but at least he pitches every week. I can't fault you for dumping Burnett, but I would personally drop Peavy.

Agree with the top two posters...... No reason to hold onto Peavy.
