Prince for Timmy?

Ive been searching for another ace for over a month now and the owner of Timmy is finally willing to trade him after his 3 bad starts in a row.
But he wants Fielder for him, as his 1B position is looking abysmal.
Normally i wouldnt trade a bat of that caliber for any pitcher but i currently have Hosmer just rotting away on my bench and my pitching has been horrible - ERA over 5 past 3 weeks and whip around 1.35

Also my offense is ridiculous and im smashing the entire league in every one of the 6 offensive categories (R, RBI, HR, SB, H, OBP) so i can afford to lose the power... but is this a wise move?

Im a huge Giants fan so i may not be thinking about it completely objectively. (Altho it does make fantasy much funner when you have players on your team you can root for)

a few keeper considerations:
Prince is keepable as a 3rd rounder
Timmy is a keepable as a 2nd rounder.
i would probably NOT be keeping either one, but its likely i can redraft whichever one of the 2 end up on my team, bc im cutting my 2nd rounder (holliday) after the season and will likely be the only owner in the league to have a 2nd rd pick

I believe you can move Fielder for Lincecum. Your offense is very good, and you have Hosmer who will be more than serviceable in your Util spot. Also, once Matt Holliday comes back from the DL, you'll have another guy who can take your Util spot.

If you can add Lincecum for Fielder, I'd go ahead and pull the trigger.

Pull the trigger on that. Cabrera and Youk at 1B, Bautista and Youk at 3B. Your pitching is solid so long as Liriano keeps bringing it together and with Big-Time-Timmy-Jim you will have a very well rounded staff. Winning fantasy is not about the value of the player, it's about the value of the position. Especially when you have a couple of other players who will do just as nicely in your Util spot.

You should do this and not look back, You have Miggy already so theres no reason to worry about you 1b and Lincecum is a Top 3 starter if you ask me. Great deal for you to cash in on.

It's a fair trade..... Hopefully you aren't just letting a big bat go just because you're a Giants fan. You can afford to lose him, but Fielder is top 10 right now. I guess from what your post is saying you are renting Lincecum for the rest of the season and will be able to pick Fielder back up next year. Hopefully Lincecum will turn it around quick for you. Lucked out and got the American League Central for your inter-league play..... A's, Twins, and Indians....... Should be able to get some wins in there.

Just a little more info:
Its not set in stone that i would cut Timmy. I could keep him, but we can only keep up to 8 players (and just 5 players in the first 10 rounds) and im already planning to keep Strasburg in rd 20 and Pineda in rd 24. So im thinking that i would probably take the risk of dropping and try to redraft Timmy. if that fails I can always take Lester, who i will also be cutting.
The bats i have to choose from in rounds 1-10 are fare more valuable than any pitcher imo:

Bautista rd 5
JUpton rd 6
Youk rd 7
Ellsbury rd 9

also hes now inquiring about J. Zimmerman AND Prince for Timmy which i wont accept.
However, I will have to cut a pitcher when i make this trade, and I also still have Beachy on my DL who should be healthy soon.
Furthermore word is that Zimm is on an innings limit and will very likely be shut down before H2h playoffs begin.
So im thinking about countering with Prince + Zimm for Timmy + 2012 draft pick in round ???
what round should i be looking for? ive already aquired an additonal pick in round each of rds 9, 10, and 11.

I would think Prince is worth more than Timmy. Not a bad trade, but I would look for better value - maybe Colby Rasmus?
