I have Chris Capuano on my team this last week as a spot start, and I dont like his match-up coming up in Week 11. So who do y'all think I should pick up for this coming week. I am leaning towards Chris Narveson because of his strikeout numbers, but I wanted to see what y'all thought.
Since you're just streaming these guys, I'd go with Fister. He's pitching well and facing the LAA. Wolf has also been pitching great, has two starts, but one of them is against Boston. I'd be a little nervous about that one.
Points league? 5x5? If points, I'd lean toward Dempster even with two tough starts. If longer term is a consideration, I'd give some thought to Lewis, but not for a spot start only. I also like Zambrano and Fister pretty evenly for this week with potential going forward. I'm not a believer in Narveson.
Thanks for the help on mine.

2 starts are usually better than 1. K's add up. Dempster is your guy.

thanks.
even if the two starts are against Milwaukee and the Yankees?
um wow... welp, seeing as these pitchers are bleh, i'd take either edwin jackson vs minnesota or james mcdonalds vs the astros. mcdonald spun a nice quality-type start against the mets the other day (i wanna say like 7IP and 2ER) and houston is a step down from that, cuz like, short of their speed game with bourn and bourgeois, there's hunter pence and then there's...... yeah my point exactly. unless you fear brett wallace or chris johnson or something.
edwin jackson is jekyll and hyde this year, and he's been equally parts horrible and equally parts !!!! but going against minnesota i tend to like that matchup for anyone... i think they got texas this week and had a romp, and today they got through the texas bullpen... but like, matt harrison pwnd them basically and like, matt harrison isn't the second coming or anything, even tho he's been nice this year, so i'd probably go with edwin jackson against minnesota for that reason... and it's in minnesota, right? yeah, so like, if it's in minensota they don't like to hit HR in that park so i think edwin jackson could spin a nice ~7-8 IP 2ER or less ~10K type outing against them
so if you're turned off by edwin jackson, i'd go with james mcdonald, as i often use spot-starts as a "who is this pitcher facing?" situataion cuz the pitcher was good enough to transcend spot-start-matchups he wouldn't be there in the FA pool for you to get, duh.
