NEED KEY ADVICE!! WHIR always

Hey guys,
I need some help in deciding what exactly to do with my team...my pitching appears to be decent but I'm struggling in ERA and WHIP.
There are two Free Agents that I am interested in: in order of interest: Humber and Gee. The question is, should I drop anyone for either of these guys?

Also, I am about to make a trade: My Hart and Carpenter for Ortiz and Danks (Thoughts? - I know its kind of risky so I'm not sure about it just yet but Ortiz helps my HR and RBIs so much, and I am lacking in that category-I just traded for Quentin too so he will help also)

WIth this trade I would have Vlad on my bench along with Rios. Rios has come alive his last couple games after getting benched but I still think its too early to start him...but I feel like I can't drop a 5th round draft pick, because it would be a waste. And Vlad is not himself, and nobody wants him in a trade so he is on my bench until I see otherwise also, but should he be dropped completely along with Rios? I'm so confused.

Then, I could drop Lyon (who I just picked up after I saw he could be the Astros closer again, but he looked bad tonight and I have Melancon) and/or Aaron Crow who is a solid setup man but will he close again if Soria does NOT get traded?

There's a lot here.

1.) I like Humber over Gee. (I am not sure If I would drop anyone for these guys yet)
2.) Im not too crazed about that trade. Danks I am just not a big fan of and I feel Carpenter is alot to give. But as you said you need HR and RBI's so it may be a little risky but could work out.
3.) I would Dump Lyon If anything

Absolutely agreed, Lyon may be the closer someday soon but he is most likely to get blown up and screw up your ERA/Whip fantastically while gaining very few saves. I like D-Gee but it's also a chance to have a rotational spot for matchups and 2-starts as well.
