Closer Poll: Leo Nunez or John Axford; WHIR,LL

I'm looking to trade for one of these gents ... who would you rather have? WHIR,LL

I prefer Leo Nunez. I think his job is safer and his ratios are better. Axford's job is safe for now, but with his walk rate, if he gets in a funk you never know. I don't think they have a real in house replacement, but I could see Milwaukee dealing for Heath Bell if Axford gives them reason for concern as the deadline approaches. Milwaukee has a potential World Series caliber team, can't let a shaky closer bring them down.

I agree here, I dealt away Axford for that very reason. I don't trust him as a closer, and would much rather let him be someone elses headache.

The thing I don't like about Leo is his back injury.

Axford - he just had a kid so he'll pitch lights out the rest of the year. Also Nunez is battling some injuries so may end up on the DL.

agreed. i would prefer to stay away from players with injury concerns, esp a back problem.
