Lucas Duda - OF - Mets Mets recalled OF Lucas Duda from Triple-A Buffalo. Duda has managed just two hits in 20 at-bats with the Mets this season, but he's been ripping the cover off the ball at Triple-A to the tune of a .302/.414/.597 batting line with 10 home runs. He's expected to start in left field Friday in place of the slumping Jason Bay and will also see time at first base while he's up. Jun 10, 10:23 AM
I can't say I know anything about Duda, but I can tell you that Blackmon will be playing almost everyday while he's up right now. He's the choice if it's between these two, though I echo the sentiments of an above poster that there must be other options available?
Its a 12 team mixed I play in with 4 DL spots per team. Several GM's including me have 2-3 players on the DL . We have 25 man rosters. 15 hitters and 10 pitters with no reserves so the wire is very weak.Since Span is only on the DL for 7 days I thought I would give one of the young guys a chance. I am leaning toward Blackmon as well since it looks like he hit well in Col. Sprgs before his callup. Thanks for the help
