Ok to drop Ike Davis?

Postby Devil Doc » Fri Jun 10, 2011 10:03 am

My waiver went through for Dunn, so the need for Davis is even less with AGonz in my line up. Was thinking of dropping him outright, without an add, and possibly use that extra roster spot as a streamer.

And no sooner did I add Dunn, did i get an offer for him. It definitly was a buy low trade, and not having it, Oswalt/Dunn for his McGehee/Hudson. He's the one that I traded Hosmer to, was going to counter with Hosmer for Dunn straight up, see if he takes it.

Good bad idea?

first of all hang onto ike davis he was having a amazing year. he isnt some flash in the pan he showed signs last year he could be the real deal his gm said hes the soon to be superstar of the team over dwright

playing him instead of morse when he gets back will pay out for you in the long run

placido should be at your 3rd base not mike mastuzaka

give adam dunn a little time in the middle of summer to get hot with the bat you just traded for him and if he turns it up running him at your utility spot thatll LOOK NIIICEEE

yea def pass on the trade u were offerd

Ike isn't hurting you sitting in a DL spot. No reason not to hold onto him right now.

You were correct to pass on the initial offer for Dunn. I don't think he'll deal you Hosmer for Dunn, however, but it was worth a try.
