I don't like deal A at all. Deal B, not really feeling that one either, Hosmer of course is the more established, but the A's really aren't playing that well right now and Cahill has been off his game. The Nats will be getting Zimmerman back and the only thing that Zimmerman hasn't got this year is run support. It's a toss up for me on that trade.
I think it all depends on who you think is going to be the better 1B, but looking at your current roster, it doesn't appear that you'd keep anyone involved in the trade. How many years left do your top keepers have left would probably be some good info too. Hosmer has established himself so far, but we don't know how Rizzo is going to be yet. And even in a crappy ball park in SD, he still has to play half those games in other ball parks.
It's all about September for me ... If I play Hosmer at utility and have Cahill down the stretch vs. Zimmermann, am I better positioned? Cahills recent slump due to tough starts against bos, NYY, chisox, or something more?
