MOOSE CALLED UP!!!!!

Postby jruffus1 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 7:30 pm

Royals purchased the contract of 3B Mike Moustakas from Triple-A Omaha.
Out of nowhere comes massive news for fantasy owners. Moustakas, 22, is one of the top all-around prospects in the sport and was batting .287/.347/.498 with 10 home runs and 44 RBI in 55 games this season at the Triple-A level. In a year where it's been nearly impossible to find consistent production at third base, "Moose" should immediately become a fantasy star.

JUST SCOOPED HIM! What should we expect from him for rest of season?

If he can do what Hosmer is doing, I'll be happy. This is a nice treat after having to drop Lawrie yesterday.

Who would you prefer in a redraft: Moose or Rizzo? Are these the two biggest impact prospects for this year that we will see called up?

Hosmer is more worthy than Rizzo, but Moustakas is more worthy than Hosmer. The guy blasted like 46 HRs and drove in 125+ RBIs last season in AAA.

Thanks. Should have made clear in my question that I was asking if Rizzo and Moose were the two biggest potential impact call-ups that we would see for the rest of this year.

I'm curious who will have a bigger impact between Moose and B Lawrie. Lawrie's injury is a buzzkill.

Its hard to say because Lawrie is in a better offensive lineup. He will probably be out until mid to late July though because he needs 2-3 weeks of no baseball, then he needs to start doing exercises to rebuild strength, and then he needs to "prove" himself in AAA again.
