Am I Trading Too Much for Bautista

Postby rasto21585 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 2:28 am

I am in a 20 team h2h dynasty league and I was offered Jose bautista bud Norris and angel pagan for my Lincecum rasmus and Russell Martin. I am just worried this is a very risky trade. So you think the reward outweighs the risks?

Love the deal.

Norris/Pagan for Rasmus/Martin would be about fair if that was the only part of the deal. However, you also add the beast of all beasts, JOBA, and only give up a pitcher. He's very good, yes, but Bautista is the top dog. This is a hell of a deal for you.

I'd be all over that. I wouldn't fault you either way though.

Norris has been pitching very well this year. Pagan is a super steady producer. Bautista is a beast.

Lincy gets good numbers, but nothing like Bautista. Rasmus produces well, but so does Pagan. Martin may or may not be a top tier catcher going forward. He'll benefit from a favorable ballpark and lineup, and potentially produce at a weak position.

So both sides have value, and I think it's a very fair trade. Given that, I'd rather be on the side getting the beast in Bautista.

Does it make any difference that this is a dynasty league?
