Thinking of dropping Soto

Postby KosherK » Wed Jun 08, 2011 9:16 am

I'm in a points league with the following scoring system and I have Soto as my current catcher (I also have Wilson Ramos on my bench)

At Bats (AB) -.33
Runs (R) 1.5
Singles (1B) 1
Doubles (2B) 1.33
Triples (3B) 1.67
Home Runs (HR) 2
Runs Batted In (RBI) 1.5
Stolen Bases (SB) 1
Caught Stealing (CS) -2
Walks (BB) 1.34
Hit By Pitch (HBP) 1.34
Strikeouts (K) -.1
Ground Into Double Play (GIDP) -1
Total Bases (TB) .67

Soto is killing me right now (was before the injury and isn't getting much better) - so I'm wondering do I drop him and pick up Iannetta or Saltalamacchia (or stick with Ramos - who is getting more AB all the time) I figure at the least I'm wasting a roster spot.

Appreciate the adivce.

No reason to waste a spot on a catcher........ There really aren't any catchers that help out a team as it is.

I might switch Ramos with Iannetta. ;-D

Yeah, but I keep thinking Ramos is going to break out, and Saltalamacchia seems to be heating up... is Soto going to turn it around or is he washed up?
