AGON for Jose Bastista?

Postby scout56 » Tue Jun 07, 2011 2:02 pm

I currently sit in first place (by 6 games) in a keeper league. We use the H2H format. Offensive categories are Runs (R), Hits (H), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Total Bases (TB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS). There are 8 teams in our league. There were 10 but 2 got concolidated because their managers would not participate once the league started. My roster is: C: Russell Martin, Jarrod Saltalamacchia 1B: Paul Konerko, Lance Berkman 2B: Dustin Pedroia, Jed Lowrie 3B: José Bautista, Álex Rodríguez SS: Stephen Drew, Jhonny Peralta LF: Ryan Braun CF: Torii Hunter RF: Carlos Quentin ULT: Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Joyce, David Ortiz, and Grady Sizemore. I realize I have a lot of Boston players, but Agon certainly looks like a good play, and Bastista certainly has cooled off recently. Can anyone help?

Bautista will still finish with 45+ homeruns. You can definitely get more than just Gonzalez. Adrian is having a great season as well, but Bautista hasn't been human.

I don't agree that you need to pay more than Gonzalez to get Bautista. I'd probably try to deal Arod for maybe Teixeira or Howard if possible. Arod skills are diminishing but his name still commands a bit of attention.

your really talking about 2 of the top 10 guys here being so boston heavy anywayz id say no go not because its not worth it or anything like that just on the amount of boston youd be riding with

if that team goes cold for a few weeks (happens to every team) your fantasy team is gonna be in biiig trouble

Not a chance in hades, you have Konerko at 1b and he's an elite option for this year. PASS!
