Pick up Morse?

Wondering if I should pick up Morse. Have been watching him and he just keeps ripping the ball. I had picked up Cuddyer for some position flexibility and he's been hitting well lately. FYI, Gordon and Sizemore are also on the waiver wire.

If you think he'll be there after Cuddyer starts to slump another week or two probably I would wait. If not, I don't see the harm in doing it now. Cuddyer is borderline WW material anyway.

Yeah I would drop Cuddyer for Morse right now. I dropped Cuddyer the 2nd week of the season and didn't look back.

right now I definitely like him over Gordon. Gordon had a strong start but has been leveling off lately. Not sure about Sizemore though, thats just a judgement call on your part. Sizemore is a very strong fantasy option, and has a lot more upside then Morse, he is just one of the most injury-prone players in all of baseball.

At the very least get him after he leaves SD this week, tho the way he hits them the park doesn't matter. After last nights bomb, the pitcher doesn't matter much either. I'd take him over all those guys

I'll put it in the simplest terms.

Morse is batting cleanup in front of Werth. LaRoche is out indefinitely and Morse is a 2-pos player.

In May, he had a .422 OBP.

I'll live with the K's. He's no Dunn.

Grab him ASAP before someone else does. Don't get caught up in the name game with Sizemore and Cuddyer. His stats speak pretty loud. He'll cool off, but not for long.

i'm with theblemishedone. do it now, and have fun with it cause he'll do some damage for you. only thing i'd bring new to the conversation is lance berkman....april's over, yet his stats are STILL reflecting the absolute monster april he had. eyeball him over the next few weeks and see if picking up morse wasn't more of a solution for him than for cuddyer.
