Use #1 Waiver on Carpenter? WHIR

Postby crudbucket36 » Mon Jun 06, 2011 8:07 pm

Carpenter has looked pretty rough so far this year but he looked like he has turned it around in his last start. He was recently dropped and I have the #1 waiver. Is he worth my #1 waiver and who do I drop? WHIR

You have a pretty good pitching staff........ I would definitely rather have Carpenter over Morrow though.

yeah I agree, Morrow plays in one of the most hitter friendly ballparks in the MLB. The only downside to dropping Morrow for Carpenter is that you are going to lose some K's. Morrow strikeouts a lot of hitters. But Carpenter should be a lot more dependable the rest of the season, he has had a 2.86 ERA over his last four starts.

Of course. Carpenter is a solid starter. I wish someone in my league would drop a pitcher like Carpenter.

Gallardo and Carpenter were both dropped early in my league. Missed both by 1 priority...

That said, I'm leery of Carpenter, but compared to Morrow, I'd be all over it.

Go for it. ;-D
