How'd I do? My Gardner/Martin for Carpenter (WHIR)

Postby GiantFanatic » Mon Jun 06, 2011 5:46 pm

Yahoo H2H, standard scoring, 12 teams, non-keeper.

So I managed to pair Gardner and Martin together to pry Carpenter away from the Suzuki owner in my league. Not necessarily the guy I would have liked to get (I was looking for Hanson), but I really wanted to free up roster space, needed a top pitcher, and figured that Carpenter is fairly elite and looks to be on the rebound.

My only grievance is that I get ANOTHER guy who apparently can't find a Win. However, his K/BB rates look solid, and with Pujols heating up my thinking is that he'll start getting the Ws over the second half. My roster is as follows for reference:

C - McCann
1B - Pujols
2B - Utley
3B - N. Walker
SS - Rollins
OF - A. Gordon, Sizemore, Hart
Util - L. Morrison
Bench - Zobrist, Martin, Gardner

SP - Kershaw, Buchholz, Carpenter
P - Greinke, Cueto, Bumgarner
RP - Bailey, Papelbon, Soria
Bench - Morrow, Garza

Thoughts? Leave a link and I'll reply in kind.

Thanks,
GF

Solid deal, was at the game yesterday and Carp looked good, albeit against a crappy Cubs lineup. He throws strikes, and his ball moves. Gardner is crap and Martin is fading fast, you got rid of him just in time.
