I am considering dropping Masterson and picking up another SP, since it looks like Masterson could be finally starting to level off. Some FA options are:

Volquez is starting tomorrow against the Cubs, you dont think I should take a chance on him? He has been playing real well in AAA and apparently has made tweaks to help his control.

Trust me I hope this is true, being a Reds fan, but he walked 6 batters in 14 innings during his two starts........ Not too sure the tweaks worked.

Very good point, was just going off what Volquez said in an interview yesterday. Someone dropped Bud Norris in my league a couple of days ago too, and he is coming off the Waivers tonight. So I might just wait and try to pick him up.
I might have felt a little bit better about it had he struck out a lot of batters, but he only fanned 7 with those 6 walks...... and those walks are what where killing him in the majors.
Yeah, I agree, there's alot of drek on that FA list--some upside, certainly, but given your already solid top-end of the rotation I think you're best off sticking with Masterson for the time being, and I'd have no problem dropping him when Beachy is set to come off the DL (shouldn't be more than a few more weeks).

I'd go with this advice. You could swap Masterson for Danks if you really want to, but I would really just hold and wait for Beachy, makes dropping a guy for him that much easier to take.
