For a 12-team H2H non-keeper league, who do you like most for the rest of the season?

Cueto. Who knows, maybe Vogelsong will continue to pitch awesome and end up being the better pitcher, but he is pitching so far beyond any of his past seasons, that I think the smart thing to do is play the pedigree and go with Cueto.

Speaking of pedigree...Vogelsong was once a top pitching prospect...

They are pretty close. I think Vog gets you more K's and less Walks for the season but the rest will probably even out in the end.

OK ... but now he is 34 while never having a season with an ERA < 4, with only 1 season with an ERA < 6, and a career ERA of 5.25. Not to mention a career WHIP > 1.5 ....

Those numbers you are quoting were tallied up to 2006. Now, I don't know what he did over in Japan but 5 years later, he is pitching fantastic in 53 innings which isn't that small of a sample size. That's almost a third of a season for most pitchers. Guys bloom late all the time and this may just be another case of that.

Personally, in a non keeper, give me the older more experienced guy who is tearing it up this year over the younger, inconsistent player.

Give me Cueto... I simply can't trust Vogelsong yet.

Go with Cueto..... At least the Reds can score runs around him.

What he said.

Although in the end, it's a coin flip, especially with Wilson as your closer and the Giants playing scrappy baseball.
