Adding Posey in a Keeper League

So Posey is now a FA in my keeper league, and I was considering adding him and just keeping him on my DL slot to have a gem for future years (assuming his recovery goes as planned). Think this is a good idea? H2H league and my team is still definitely in contention, but I think soon some of the people with little chance of making the playoffs will make a move to roster him.

For further context, it is an auction-draft keeper league, with managers keeping up to $130 of their $260 salary each season. Posey is especially attractive because he is a FA and his salary would be a steal (would cost $10/$14/$18 to keep him for a three year guaranteed K -- his worth when healthy is $35+).

Worth the boost of Posey for cheap in future years? Currently have no players on the DL, but of course that will change sometimes.

Absolutely do this. In a keeper league, no question. You are essentially taking zero risk and have the upside of locking down a cheap, good catcher for years.

If you've got a spot for him, there's no reason not to pick him up. Even if he had to be rostered at his current salary I'd probably say do it, because he's a definite keeper player who will be one of the best at his position. With the horrendously cheap price tag, it just can't be a better deal. Jump on it.
