Drop T Hunter for Morse?!?!? WHIR

Postby jruffus1 » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:06 pm

I am currently in a 12-team H2H non-keeper league. Do you think it is smart to drop Torii Hunter for Michael Morse? Hunter has been really pissing me off lately and Morse is really impressing me.

What do you think? Do you like this move?

Yes. 100 percent. Do it. Fast.

If it helps your thinking, I dropped Hunter a while back for Lo-Mo and just grabbed Morse (again) for Werth.

People call me nuts for my roster having "non-producers", but trust me. Morse is a stud. He's also 2-pos eligible. And he's not going anywhere with LaRoche out indefinitely.

My FA pool is filled with a lot of players that so far this year, have produced at rate either equivalent to or better than Hunter.

Some FAs:

Morse
Franceour
Ryan Roberts
Rios (well he's sucked but still worth something)
Hill
Vlad
D Brown
Moreland
Smoak
Ka'ahihue (just kidding)
Brantley

ETC.

So... I came to the conclusion now that I should ride with Morse and if he slows down considerably, it seems as if there will always be someone else for my bench (plus the fact that Soriano is coming off the DL pretty soon).

I like Michael Brantley on that list a lot too. Even though my gut feeling is that Torii Hunter will start to pick it up again soon.
