Blockbuster advice

Postby triple3play » Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:22 pm

In my H2H points dynasty league would you trade my Miguel Cabrera for his Robbie Cano? MCab is my starting 1B and I use Fielder in my DH spot. I have Hosmer who had been the 5th best 1b since comming up and 25 best hitter since comming up. I've been using Prado at 2B this year but after this season will no linger be eligible and my only 2B eligible player will be Gordon Bekham. I probably lose a little in this trade for this year but is it better for my teams future. Fair trade or should I try to get a prospect back also (Profar perhaps). I love McCab so I'm having a difficult time with this one

It's a fair trade, makes sense for your team later. You can always ask for the prospect..........

I wouldn't do it without getting a little bonus in return(prospect?). Positional flexibility is not worth giving up the better player, and you definitely are. M-Cab is one the best, most consistent players in baseball, probably the overall number 3 behind Pujols/Bautista, so to trade him 1-1 makes no sense. Get something more out of the deal and it makes a little sense, but as is there is no way I would make the deal.
