Just traded Pedroia - Should I be happy? == WHIR

Just traded Pedroia, Berkman, Norris, and Pineda for Rasmus, Scherzer, and Verlander. Once the trade goes through I will pick up Lawrie, and once Lawrie is 3B elig, I will drop Reynolds for Morse.

So, that said, should I be happy with the trade/my team?

I think you gave up a little too much. Take 1 player on your side out of the deal and it's better.

Pedroia has been playing like feces and it can't be April for Berkman all season, Pineda is the actual factual action jackson really real deal and Norris is Norris in Houston...i probably would have asked for another weaker bat in addition to rasmus, but that's alright.
as you've already completed the trade, your strategy going forward is solid as everest.

i'm kinda scared of Scherzer after his last couple of starts, and i would probably try and find a way to get Morse sooner rather than later (depending on the other owner's in your league and their needs and penchants), but yeah, that's a solid trade and a stellar plan going forward and a kick ass team to boot.

I did have to overoffer a bit as everyone in the league is reluctant to trade at the best of times. I only managed to get the trade done because the other team has Darwin Barney as his only 2B.

Berkman, Pineda, and Norris are all limited time deals. Berkman will cool off. Pineda will get shut down. Norris is.... Norris.

Really, I just wanted to add 2 solid pitchers and another OF bat. I platoon all my OF on a daily basis, so I just wanted to get a more reliable bat than Berkman. It may not be the best that could have been done, but all I wanted was to get the job done, so that's why I'm happy.
