I've had enough... He's set a season goal I believe to flucuate between .197 and .210 ,and that's it.
He doesn't steal anymore, he doesn't hit HRs, He barely gets on base (.253) His slugging is bordering on becoming lower than his OBP (.305)
.558 OPS... It's pathetic.
Saying all this, what can he get me... ANYTHING?
I mean, would you trade him for like a John Danks or something? Maybe an injured Homer Bailey? Try to take a flier on like Mike Moustakis/Lawrie? Just go for depth like Allen Craig, guys who can slot in to more than 1 position?
HAHAHA I have the same exact problem!! I'll tell ya what, not many people in my league even wanna discuss him BUT i think there are some that will buy very low on him haha I can see a deal like Rios for Bucholz/Danks/Britton/Pagan/etc. Basically someone who has also not played up to potential or someone who is on the decline like an older player, etc. I honestly don't know what to do at this point either! Hope this helps a little bit!
all of them are worth a quarter of what u payed for them at best all you can do is hold tight and prey they get on track or sink your fantasy year with them because what you can get back for them isnt gonna be really worth the value of these players if these players get hot
you might get some low ball scum bag deals but nothin thats gonna put you in any better position unless you trade with a mega homer or an idiot
What would you think about trying for someone like Alberto Callaspo? High average, doesn't K (Ks are -1 in my league), is probably going to drive in 65 Runs, hit 8 HRs, has 2B and 3B eligibility.
He could spell Rolen at 3B, 2B when Pedroia doesn't play. UTIL
No way you are going to get a SP like Bucholz or Britton, but if you do have another OF on your bench at the moment, I would recommend picking up Brett Lawrie and see how he does over the next couple of weeks. Thats what I am doing at the moment, even though I don't really have any room for him. He's probably going to be eligible to play 2B/3B, which would make him very marketable as well.
If you can get Soria for him I would recommend it. I mean, I hope Soria never gets his job back because I was fortunate enough to pick up Crow, but I think that he'll get the job back pretty soon as he is pitching well now. I don't even think that the other person would give up Soria for Rios. Who else is available in your league on the WW?
