One side note is Andrus, this guy is worthless in too many stats to offset the SB which might not keep up at this pace.
This is why you're wrong about Jeter. Andrus and Jeter currently have similar HR/R/BA and Andrus actually has a lot more RBI's (don't expect this to continue) and he's an elite SB guy. If you think Andrus is worthless because he hurts you in too many stats then Jeter also is. And Jeter doesn't have elite SB's to add to his value. And I don't really expect Jeter to start hitting HR's or to hit for a high avg. Which is why he's nearly worthless in fantasy even at SS.
Continued from the Aramis thread since it's more appropriate.
Is he a .280 hitter across a full season though? He was hitting .400 on April 27th, today he's at .292. 400 wasn't sustainable but that means he's hit close to .200 since the end of April. All of his value right now is from April and I think it's hard to tell if there's a middle ground between April and May.
I just don't believe in Andrus in AVG or RBI or heck even as an elite SB option. If he honestly is a 60 SB guy it really changes his value but I don't think he is, he just had a hot streak. I don't think Jeter is a .260 hitter either, he is most likely more of what we've seen from May 1st on than what we saw in April imo. This all is a very gray area obviously so a lot of it is just downright opinion and nothing else.

I just can't get excited about .265, 100 R, 5 HR, 55 RBI and 15-20 SB

lmao. Obviously it would be better if he was playing fulltime which was my concern in the Lowrie thread. But there are a lot of terrible SS's that I simply do not want on my team. Ryan, Alcides, Yuni, Cedeno, Tejeda, Casilla, Pennington and theriot are just some of the names. these guys just aren't good at hitting at all and some of them are 0 category players. yuk.
Andrus.. .306/.352/.364/.716, 13R, 1HR, 12 RBI, 7SB Jeter... ..239/.304/.314/.618, 6R, 0HR, 4RBI, 2SB Castro...340 /.380/.470/.850, 14R, 1HR, 12RBI, 5SB This does not surprise me even a little bit.
id say thats a hell of a lot better than "bleh outside of avg" as another poster claimed
