It's a steal. I think you are getting the 3 best players.

Hootie, he just changed it up and sed he would rather keep Arencibia...so should I still ship these 2 SPs over to him for Quentin and Street?? I just hate losing 2 SP, but I know they only go every 5 and an OF plays everyday, but is Quentin good enough?? (AVG liability??) Thanks a lot! :-)

Yes.
SP imo, is the easiest thing to find.
Matusz is good, but his low K/9 makes him a high 3 low 4 era guy.
Colon is rolling, but for how long?
You need offense, and Quentins power is legit.
Street is a good closer.
Do the deal, then try to trade League or Melancon for a SP.

Well me nd this kid have been talking and we switched it up again, seeing as he actually needs saves and i don't...It is now Quentin, Mike Adams and Aaron Crow for Colon and League. Do you think that would be good? (The RP would help my ratios, cuz im last in ERA and WHIP - and Crow can get me save until Soria finds himself again) I'd rather lose Matusz but I don't think he would go for that. Thanks so much! :-)

Yea i would do it. it's not as good with no Street, but i like Quentin, and Adams will close once Bell gets traded.

Thanks for the help!

I actually like the first trade for you, but you alleviate your power issue with Quentin.

While I'm not totally sold on Adams or Crow, they will help you with potential saves or wins, K's and holds (assuming your league does that).

oh hell yeah you'd make this trade and run with it and pray it doesn't get veteod. bartolo colon is prolly a flash in the pan, and matusz hasn't done anything yet. even in a keeper league, you can prolly turn around and deal quentin and/or street for a better pitcher than matusz, so you're getting value one way or another.

plus, as it looks to me, you need more closing as i don't like to have ANYTHING less than 3 closers, tho that's usually 4... cuz by this point in the season i'm usually rolling 5-6 closers deep and racking up the saves to try and get to a point where i can deal saves for holes later, so like, adding another closer is yeah.

basically,. matusz is coming off of an injury and has yet to prove he's a sub-4 ERA pitcher in MLB, not to mention he's in a division with the quality yankees offense, the quality redsox offense, the pretty-quality blue jays offense (that now features the best hitter in the league and a resurgent 2009-ish adam lind) and then the perpetually scrappy rays (look at how maddon platooned matt joyce and now has him confident and .350+ --- that dude can manage)

so yeah, make this trade and run with it if it's on the table. if it's a trade that you're thinking about offering, don't be surprised when it's rejected.

take a look at mine, would ye? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=432547
