Trade Question

Ok, here is the situation I am in. I have three closers right now...Putz, K Rod, and Madson. I was offered Ubaldo for Putz straight up....Putz is probably the best closer in baseball right now so idk if I want to give him up, but I could use some SP help. Do you think Ubaldo is going to rebound? Maybe I counter with K Rod?


Also, Brandon Lyon is available on waivers and I know he is coming back soon...will he claim the closers role when he returns?

Putz isn't even the top closer on my team, let alone all of baseball. I don't really like the trade though, doesn't seem to have much upside for you.

He was named the Majors top reliever for May, going 11 for 11 and did not give up a run in 13 innings....tough to argue with that....but alright I just wanted to hear someone else's opinion...maybe I can counter with Madson and he can take a risk as well....because they haven't said if Lidge will take back over the closer role when he returns or not, cuz Madson is doing so well

and Putz def is the best closer on your squad right now....Rivera isn't having a typical year that he does....still doing well but I'd say Putz is doin better

I'd probably put him in the top 3 on a big board, definitely in the top 5 for closers, but he's not the best cause he had a good month.... Is it worth chasing Jimenez? He hasn't been able to throw the same since he had arm surgery years ago, minus the first half of last season. The other version of Jimenez has stats that can be matched by less costly players... Plus, the Rockies don't even look like the Rockies right now, so he won't get the usual run support of Coors Field even if he starts pitching well.

Also, thanks. I had to make like 20 trades but it was worth it. Gordon having third base eligibility, and Berkman's ridiculous start were key.

Oh, I know he's not the best closer...just prolly the hottest right now because of his month of May. But thank you for your response, I def agree with you and your analysis of Ubaldo just wanted to see what someone else thought.

Try countering with K-Rod. I do think Ubaldo is/will rebound.
