What deal would be better for me? What I am trying to accomplish is getting a pitcher because my pitching staff is very weak. I am also trying to do a trade so I can free up a roster spot for when Hafner will be coming off the DL in the next week or so.
Deal #1
I give
Zobrist
Beltran
I get
Ian Kennedy
Deal #2
I give
Zobrist
Beltran
Broxton
Fuentes
I get
Chacin
Leo Nunez
Keep
C Napoli
1 Butler/Davis/Hosmer/Dunn
2 Young/Utley/Zobrist
3 Moustakas
SS Bonifacio/E Cabrera
OF Grandy/Choo/Reddick/Kubel
SP Anderson/C Lee/Oswalt
Haren/Moore/A Sanchez
RP Soriano/Myers/Johnson/Aceves/Parnell

#2, even though I really don't like either trade.

maybe deal #2 if you are truly desperate but you're giving up too much either way

3B-Zimmerman
SS-Reyes
OF-Hamilton/Beltran/McCutchen
Util-Heyward/MCab/Berkman
Bench-Dom Brown/Moustakas/Aybar
SP-Halladay/Sabathia/Beckett/Shields/Hamels/Peavy

I don't like either one of those. Zobrist still has some name bigger value (vs. actual performance), can peddle that for more than Ian Kennedy, I think.

You're giving up too much in each of those deals. I wouldn't do it.
Little help with mine?

Are these two deals with the same team? If so, I'd like something like:
Beltran
Zobrist
Broxton
Fuentes
for
Chacin
Kennedy
Nunez
Fuentes is trash since Bailey is back. Broxton may never regain control of the closer role. Beltran is a nice sell-high. And Zobrist is the only real value on your side. So if you can pull 2 quality SPs and a top closer, I'd do it for sure.

Thanks for helping with mine!
I agree with the others, you are giving up too much. Zobrst is too versatile and has flashes of greatness at the plate, and Beltran is quietly putting together a nice season ... and he will likely get traded out of spacious Citi field by July.
I'd offer just one or the other for either pitcher.
