Pence for Verlander WHIR

Postby wrightinflight » Fri Jun 03, 2011 12:11 pm

My Pence for his Verlander. After some back and forth, this is the closest that we can get. I thought that I could use some pitching and a rotation of Weaver, Verlander, Hamels and Latos sure is tasty. I feel that I can afford the loss of Pence because once some of my players on the DL come back, I will have pretty good depth. Any advice is welcome and don't forget to leave a link. ;-D

unless pitching is majorly favorable in your league i dont like this deal id rather see you trade gabby and zimmerman/cueto/ogando ogando being your final offer gabby has 2 come into a major slump theres no way this guy is a full time mlb star

so like jordan zimmerman and gabby sanchez for verlander is way safer for you

then if hes like no no go ogando and gabby sanchez getting back ike davis your not even gonna notice the loss of gabby then a week after that youll get back ryan zimmerman

Yes, I think I would go ahead and make this deal. I tend to shy away from giving up bats to get arms, but Pence is your #4 OF, and you are getting a top-10 SP in return. With Zimmerman making his way back, that provides the production lost by giving up Pence. Make the deal.

I agree with the 3rd post. I'd do it. Owners in my leagues don't likely go for 2-for-1 trades.
