I think between Fielder and Ike you're pretty set on 1B/CI, while your 2B/3B situation is tougher (ARod getting old, Pedroia a tad injury prone), and those are thinner positions, so I'd stick with Lawrie over Hosmer. That, and Jordan Zimmerman could easily equal or top Cahill moving forward, kid's been good lately and seems to be really figuring things out. So, I'd personally pass.

I'd also keep Bruce. Guy's a monster, and a great keeper.

First off, your roster is loaded!

I actually kind like the first deal. Your top-3 SP's are insanely good so you can trade 2 for 1. Cahill's the best of the 3 so I like that part of the deal. Then it comes down to Lawrie vs Hosmer. I like Lawrie's position eligibility a LOT more than Hosmer's but I have a full mancrush on Hosmer.

Lawrie's going to be good. But, he might be more valuable this year than next since he'll end-up being 2B/3B this year and just 3B next. Hosmer's already proven some things at this level too. I believe Lawrie's legit but you always worry about a guy like that being the next Brandon Wood until he proves something ya know?

Anywho don't "love" the deal but I can justify that first one.

I wouldn't do either deal. Neither one really helps your team. An old saying that goes "Sometimes the best move is no move at all" (dunno who said it but I've heard it for years).

PS how the hell you get such a stacked team in 12 team H2H with only 6 keepers? I counted like 10.

The first deal is great value, so I'd make that trade.

But I wouldn't deal Bruce at this point unless you got something huge in return - he's just too hot to lose.

Who would you keep if you make or don't make either deal?
Who would you pick up as a free agent?

I much prefer the first deal. You have the SP depth to consolidate and Cahill is a nice get. What I like most about it though is that Hosmer is a pretty big upgrade at Util.

I've decided not to trade Bruce for now ... So I'll just speak to the first deal.

As for my keepers, I would choose 6 from the following depending in hownguys stand by year's end:

Prince, Hanley, A-Rod, Bruce, Ellsbury, Cargo ( has only 1 more year though), Halladay, King Felix, Lincecum

I suppose Pedroia deserves to be in the mix but he needs to prove it first...
