MCab and Hamilton deal...WHIR

8-team standard Yahoo 5x5 league...salivated when I got this deal and couldn't say no but now I might be regretting it a bit. Deal goes like this:

Get - MCab, Hamilton, Paplebon and Napoli (dropped for Arencebia)
Give - Morneau, Weeks, Gordon, Rasmus, Ortiz and Joyce

Getting the 2 best players of the deals is sweet but then why do I feel I've lost this deal? Just seems like a lot of offense to give up...ease my pain peeps!

1B - Gonzalez
2B - Hill, Roberts
SS - Reyes
3B - Rolen, Zimmerman
OF - Hamilton, Beltran, McCutchen
UTIL - Teixera, MCab, Berkman

Pitchers - Halladay, Sabathia, Beckett, Peavy, Shields, Scherzer, Paplebon, Marmol, Valverde, League, Padilla

In an 8 team league there is OK talent to be had everywhere. You secured two studs in the trade and it's usually he who has the most top 25 studs that wins a shallow league such as yours. Don't fret it, you won this trade. Just try to find someone decent to play 2B for you now.

im clapping for you finding a guy to buy justin morneau in this economy and u add two of the top 15 players in the mlb losing weeks kinda messes you up at 2 bag but i rather just see u get this deal done quickly

id rather see u trade berkman morneau hill ortiz and joyce so second base doesnt take sucha hit

Like everybody else no one believes Berkman has great value. I wish I could have dealt Hill instead but he said Weeks had to be part of the deal.

DO it. 8 team leagues always have plenty of good waiver fodder, you can find someone easily as good as guys you're losing, you get studs MCab and Hamilton, and Paps stud closer (Saves will come).
