Thanks for the help on mine. I love this deal for you as Braun would be a huge upgrade to your OF. Johnson is clearly your best pitcher however you seem to have a lot of depth. Johnson's injury could linger for the rest of the year. I'd definitely do this deal.
It's a tremendous deal for you even if JJ were healthy. Braun is looking like he may be a top 3 pick next year and even a 100% JJ, with zero future injury risk, might crack the top 25. Jump all over this before you lose it.

Even if Josh Johnson was healthy, pitchers are not valued nearly as high as hitters. Hitters compete for all categories, starting pitchers inherently compete in less categories (saves, holds, et al.). Also, hitters play in 5x the games, or more, so if they have a bad night, it has a negligible effect on the season. Ryan Braun is looking like a top 3 player this season, it automatically gives him more value than any pitcher in the league no matter what. Pitching stats are fairly easy to piecemeal together in comparison.
