So I was offerred this trade just wondering what you think Carpenter has been struggling all year and wondering if he will turn it sround in the 2nd half. Just a couple things
1. I have to drop someone to do this(I have to do it anyways to activate him and it will likely be Brett Gardner in fact I will have probably dropped him by the time you read this)
2. He also has Lincecum and Tommy Hanson on there and wondering if I should target them instead as well.
Likely considering counterofferring it here's my roster
C Russell Martin NYY
1B/3B Kevin Youkilis BOS
2B Dan Uggla ATL
3B Alex Rodriguez NYY
OF Carl Crawford BOS
OF Michael Bourn HOU
OF Carlos Quentin CHW
UTL/1B Paul Konerko CHW
BN Brett Gardner NYY
DL Shane Victorino PHI
SP Shaun Marcum MIL
SP Max Scherzer DET
RP Mark Melancon HOY
RP Chris Perez CLE
P Drew Storen WSH
P Andrew Bailey OAK
P Kyle Lohse STL
BN Annibal Sanchez FLA
BN Colby Lewis TEX
BN Eric Bedard SEA

who knows if carpenter will turn it around. Two things with him. You can get him for cheap now, but he will always be a injury liability. You would need to trrade top notch for lincecum, I would go after hanson and see what he wants in return

See if he'll do Victo for Hansen straight up. You're very deep in SBs and don't really need Victo imo.

If you can get Hanson for Vic, I say jump all over it, but given the ways he's pitched so far and the fact that ur not exactly deep at OF... I think I'd pass on Carp.

Carpenter is too risky and may just be getting a bit too old and injury prone to give up a player like Vic.
Targeting Hansen would seem like the most even deal.
