Since you are not in a Keeper League, then it is not as bad. You already had M.Teixeira at First Base...so you were dealing from an area of strength. Your batting lineup is sick. Losing E.Hosmer is not going to effect you.

M.Latos has been better of late. J.Mauer has been a bust the past 2 years dealing with injuries and not producing when he does play. I can't give Mauer away in my Keeper League.

E.Hosmer is a stud. Producing at a very young age. He is the real deal.

With all that being said...I would probably make this deal. Or...you could shop Hosmer around for a better pitcher straight up.

I traded A.Pujols/C.J. Wilson away in my League for M.Kemp/E.Hosmer.

You won. Done deal.

Hosmer WILL be a great player, but this year he's not going to be AS good as he WILL be..

And add to it, you've got a former AL batting champ in a very thin position (with buster posey out, the show is either McCann, VMart or Mauer)

and add to it you've got Latos whose got decent stuff pitching in SD... PLUS

non-keeper, you win.

Hosmer is riding the pine for you, so good deal.

You definitely win in a non-keeper league.

Hosmer is a stud, but you have Tex @ 1B.

Latos, I'm sure, will turn things around and Mauer, while iffy, is still Mauer.
