Jeter/15th Rounder for Ian Desmond/9th rounder? WHIR

Postby ATLbraves » Thu Jun 02, 2011 4:43 pm

I was sent an offer for my Jeter and a 18th round pick for his Bartlett and a 9th round pick. Which I was not sure if I wanted to accept or not because Bartlett hasn't been performing well so far this season. But I was thinking about countering with my Jeter and a 19th round pick for his Ian Desmond and a 9th round pick. Do you think Desmond will be able to improve his numbers going forward?

Do yall think I should offer this? Is it time to give up on Jeter?

Barney is going to put up better numbers then Jeter (minus all the runs) so I say go ahead and do it. Desmond will give your team some steals which it looks like you could use.

Yes get rid of Jeter.

When it's all said and done an 18th round pick vs a 19th round pick is minuscule. I would still offer your 18th rounder.

He apparently want's a 15th rounder not an 18th. I'm guessing I should still do it though? There is still some value in the 15th round but I will be receiving a 9th round pick at least. And hopefully Desmond will be performing better then Jeter by the end of the year.

and would you still do the trade if it was Bartlett instead of Desmond?

thanks for the help guys, and once again.. WHIR

No interest in Bartlett, Desmond would be the better end of the deal for sure. With Desmond and Jeter with similar value and the potential for Desmond to be outperforming Jeter by seasons end, Jeter for Desmond straight up would be reasonable. To add the picks in your favor makes this a really solid deal. Try to lock this up before he changes his mind.....

I'd definitely do this trade. You aren't really giving up much this season by losing Jeter. His numbers are easily matched by Barney or Desmond. But you get a huge boost in next year's draft.

Help with mine?
