Team is below. I'm trying to acquire Castro and/or Volquez. He is looking for SP and has Tulo already with Adrian Gonzalez in UTIL spot so Castro is wasting on his bench. It is a 20 team dynasty though.
I was thinking of offering either Bucholz or Matusz for Castro straight up. How do either of those sound?
Or I was thinking maybe something like Bucholz/Matusz/Peavy (pick one) and Teheran 4 Castro and Volquez??
I think volquez will be alright, his K rate is bananas and after the 1st inning he is great...
What are your thoughts?? Leave a link and I'll help in return.
Thanks for you help on mine. I would offer up Bucholz for Castro and see if he bites, especially if the guy is just on his bench and in a 20 team league I'm thinking Bucholz would be worth more then a bench player for him.
I would gladly take Castro for any one of those 3 pitchers. I don't think they will bite on Peavy yet and I would think that Bucholz might be the sexier name when compared to Matusz, so I would offer Bucholz. If you want Volquez as well, I would give the owner a choice of the 3 and trade 2 for 2.

Buch is more proven but I think Matusz will be better. Then again, team-wise it's not even close between the Sox and Orioles...
I would have to say Matusz, Bucholz is a much safer SP plus the BoSox are much better then the Orioles for run support. If he want take the deal though then offer Bucholz.
Keep C Napoli 1 Butler/Davis/Hosmer/Dunn 2 Young/Utley/Zobrist 3 Moustakas SS Bonifacio/E Cabrera OF Grandy/Choo/Reddick/Kubel SP Anderson/C Lee/Oswalt Haren/Moore/A Sanchez RP Soriano/Myers/Johnson/Aceves/Parnell
He's coming off an injury and plays in the AL east on a bad team. Bucholtz has the Boston defence behind him and would grade out better than Matusz for the rest of this year.

The chances of the other guy accepting Matusz for Castro is pretty slim to none. Matisz didn't prove anything last season and has been on the DL all of this one. On the other hand, look at Castro, arguably the 4th best shortstop (shallow position) behind Tulo, Reyes, and Cabrera.
if you can keep Matusz, keep him. He hasn't yet shown you what he can do, whereas we have seen the ceiling with Clay. Its a bit risky, but then you don't get these young pitchers just so you can trade them away, you hold on to them like shares.
and yes, they do play baseball in Canada! although I wouldn'tknow since i live in the UK now!
