So I'm in a 10-team head tohead league. We include XBH and saves. I am 1st or 2nd in most offensive categories and in 6-8 in era, whip, and saves. But I'm 4-4. I was offered verlander and walden for fielder. My other 1Bs are konerko, lind, and now morse. Can they pick up enough slack to make it worth it. This trade would help me with era, whip, and saves.

If you really wanted to get a pitcher from trading away Fielder, only trade for Halladay. It's never good to trade a top notch bat for an arm. I would rather try to trade Konerko for one.
I am ok with this trade. I think you have enough depth at 1B to help you replace Fielder. Verlander is a very good pitcher and one of the few I would be willing to trade Fielder for. A full answer might be easier if we knew what your team looked like but this sounds like a deal that should help you.

I don't like giving top bats for pitchers in one for one deals. If I was in your situation, I might look more it you were shopping Fielder, get a top pitcher and upgrade SS and package your SS or lesser OF like Rios, which may be tough because he's slumping or Hunter.
I don't like this trade.. Fielder can attract the attention of Lincecum, Halladay, King Felix, even though Verlander is good (very good) he is not at the level of those three yet...

Verlander is at that elite level, but I agree with previous poster about trading hitting for pitching.
If you're dominating half of the cats (hitting) each week, just tweak your squad to take advantage of H2H's insanely flexible settings.
I would not be afraid to move Jonathan Sanchez and anyone else who could kill your ERA and WHIP (he's the latter, btw.) Maybe punting W/K and playing to win ERA/WHIP, S every week is a viable strategy.
