Lawrie... Worth an add? WHIR

I keep hearing that this guy is tearing up the minors... and that he's going to be brought up very soon. I currently have an open roster spot, and picked up Michael Morse to fill it. Would you rather have Morse or pick up Lawrie?

Depends on what position you need. Lawrie, in most leagues, would qualify at 2b and 3b, Morse at 1b or of.

I would take Lawrie (I already have in 2 of my 3 leagues).

Lawrie is worth an add in some leagues, certainly keepers. He just got HBP a day ago though and is now DTD. He was expected to get called up Fri or on the weekend but that is on hold for now. I've even seen Lawrie added and stashed in some standard re-draft leagues, so there certainly is some interest there in him.

I wouldn't drop anyone important for him, but if you've got an add/drop-like slot in your offense, he's worth an add. Toronto needs help bad at 3B, so he could actually see a lot of starts. These young guys can go on real tears when they first come up, before pitchers write a book on them forcing them to adjust as a hitter. I added him as a flier. If he works out I've added great depth at a shallow position ... if he doesn't I drop him for something else.

Agreed. Once the injury clears I'd scoop him up if you have the spot. He'll get plenty of at bats.
