Buy low on HanRam?

Postby tommo » Wed Jun 01, 2011 3:32 pm

Currently in a 12 Team H2H Points league with one keeper (Players eligible if drafted in 6th round or later) Would I be hurting my rotation too much giving up Weaver for Hanley? The deal would be Weaver and Yunel Escobar for Hanley and Brandon Beachy. Beachy looked great before getting hurt. Is there somebody else I should try to get back instead of him? Thanks! ;-D

My team:
C: Carlos Santana
1B: Joey Votto
2B: Martin Prado
3B: Jose Bautista
SS: Yunel Escobar
OF: Carlos Gonzalez
OF: Colby Rasmus
OF: Andrew McCutchen
U: Eric Hosmer
Reserves: Casey McGehee, Rafael Furcal, Domonic Brown, Angel Pagan, Jose Tabata

SP: Jered Weaver
SP: Roy Oswalt
SP: Shaun Marcum
SP: Jaime Garcia
SP: Jhoulys Chacin
SP: Jeremy Hellickson
SP: Kyle McClellan
RP: Carlos Marmol

His team:

Avila, Alex
Howard, Ryan
Utley, Chase
Young, Michael
Aybar, Erick
Bourn, Michael
Holliday, Matt
Pence, Hunter
Cabrera, Melky
Kendrick, Howard
Ramirez, Hanley
Victorino, Shane
Cuddyer, Michael

Cain, Matt
Dempster, Ryan
Vogelsong, Ryan
Zambrano, Carlos
Papelbon, Jonathan
Putz, J.J.
Beachy, Brandon
Liriano, Francisco
Matusz, Brian

if the owner is desperate for pitching and hanley about to go on the d/l it should just go for weaver i also own yunel THANK god and without him things would of been crazy at ss for me to start the year

throw him the offer of weaver for hanram

i expect hanley to have a good second half as he did last year BUT HE IS KILLING HIS owners use that against him he is supposed to be a 30 30 guy this n that hes batting like .210 or yunel and a lesser pitcher

just trying to help you :-)

He wanted a SS in return since he's losing Hanley.

If you could get Matusz instead, then i really like your side.

I think it is worth while risk to see if Hanley can figure some things out.

I'd go for it personally. Hanley is too good not to have a great second half and it is worth the risk.

please help

I like Matusz but pitching against the AL East scares me. Should I stay away from Liriano? I think Beachy could be a stud but might get capped.

I like it with Matusz or Beachy. But stay away from Liriano.

If you says yes to trading you Ramirez I don't think it matters what other player he gives you. Sweet deal for you especially in a keeper league
