There is one con with javy and a bunch of pros. Great lineup. Great ballpark. Full time status (I don't know how much he'll DH -- I guess it will be a factor on how well Gil plays). His dismal years were due to injuries provoked by being pudgy. He took care of that and now understands the importance of staying away from Taco Bell every night. That and more days of DH should hopefully keep him away from the DL and a 30 plus HR season hopefully is on the horizon. Another 43? No way. But if he stays healthy, batting fifth at Camden Yards behind Tejada and Raffy should guarantee him 100 rbi's.

I had the 8th pick in the draft and actually took Crawford in the first round. Since each team keeps 8 players, in essence he was the 88th player taken. Does anyone think that was too early?

I think 88 is a little bit high for Crawford, but it depends on how many outfielders were kept.

Smoltz WILL be a closer this year. HE was trying to get management to convert him back into a starter so he could spend more time on the golf course. The Braves are afraid that his arm will fall off if he pitches 180 innings in a year.

Clearly you're a Phillies fan, BUT you picked the right Phillies... I don't love Myers, but he's not an awful option.

I'd be looking to upgrade in your middle infield. I'm not sold on Alex Cintron, though I'd like him on my bench because he could have another good year. This is a tough part of the field from which to get offense, but I suspect you could do better. Kennedy will probably bat 9th so his R production won't be what a lot of 2B will be. I'm not sure what to tell you to trade or drop for middle infield positions because I really like the rest of your roster... maybe you should leave it as is...? Good luck.

Reyes Giles Kent Soriano Vidro and Boone were all kept so I decided going into the draft that my last pick of the draft would be a 2B. It was between Spivey, Hudson, Loretta, and Kennedy. I picked Kennedy for a couple of reasons. First, I thought he offered the most SB's. He has noone hitting behind him that will restrict him running ever. Second, batting ninth in Anaheim's lineup won't be very bad. He should have some decent RBI opportunities and he has an excellent contact guy in Eckstein batting behind him to move him over, with Vlad, Glaus, Anderson, and Guillen waiting to knock him. I took a flyer on Myers fairly late. I could have also have gotten Freddy G (I have heard good things from him this spring), so maybe I went with my heart moreso than my head.
