Fielder 4 Butler/Rasmus WHIR

I've been trying to shop Butler all year but his lack of power is hurting that. I know Rasmus is good but he runs hot and cold all the time, plus I have Young (who also runs hot and cold, but hotter than Rasmus) holding down my CF spot.

The guy I'm trading with suggested Upton and Morneau for Fielder and I told him he was crazy, so we have come down to this. Is this a decent trade for both sides??

Wow, congratulations on working that to your advantage. Take it, you dont need Butler if this deal goes through or not, and with C Young manning CF you dont really need Rasmus either right now. Fielder is better by a long shot than either of those players. Seems like a no brainer, except the dynasty part which muddies it a little. You still come out on top here, as Fielder has more raw talents than any of these players, history and youth on his side. Rasmus could be a top ten OF at some point, hes a breakout waiting to happen, but I think the boats sailed in Butlers case, he is the player he is always going to be. solid at times, but underwelming at a strong deep position.

Steal for you on that one. Butler is on pace for like 10hrs and 60rbis...for a 1b, that BLOWS!

Basically, you are trading Rasmus for Fielder which in my book, you win.
