Considering trading for Adrian Gonzales/Berkman

I feel like I'm in need of upgrading my first base position and was eyeing Adrian Gonzales or Lance Berkman. I was thinking of offering Youkilis+(Franceour or Gordon) for him. Any thoughts? I have no idea whether he would consider the trade, so I want to make a decent offer.

If you were offering it to me- I wouldn't accept your offer for Gonzalez, and I would accept in a heartbeat your offer for Berkman. It's too much for Berkman in my opinion, and not enough for Gonzalez. I'm probably in the minority, but I'm not sold on Berkman being better than Youkilis over the rest of the year at all. I rather have Youkilis. For Gonzalez, what about combining a SP with Youkilis and seeing what happens?

It would probably take like a Hanson/Youklis to get Adrian....... You could try selling Lohse high, but doubt that would get it done. I'm not sure your pitching staff could take the hit giving up a Hanson.
