Looking at Matusz and Morse, worth an add? -- WHIR

Postby Bolthead04 » Mon May 30, 2011 3:10 am

My team is finally rounding the corner. I've just gone from 10th in a league with only 9 active teams to T-6th when playing 2 of the top 3 teams in the last two weeks. My team is mostly okay other than having to play matchups for OF every day (which works out 9 times out of 10. Today was the other 1, as I had Quentin and Swisher benched, and lost HR by 1...) But, I'm looking at two players that might be worth a pickup to improve.

Brian Matusz was supposed to be Baltimore's anchor this year. He should be back soon, and they are playing well enough to win some games for him. I would be dropping Bud Norris in exchange most likely.

Michael Morse is the other. I actually picked him up early in the season as a sleeper, but he just didn't produce. Now, he's hitting very well, and he has multi-eligibility. Sadly, he even is doing better than Pujols... Anyway, I'm not sure who I'd drop for Morse. Reynolds is out once Zimmer gets back, but until then he stays put. So that leaves one of my committee members. Brantley? Pagan? Swisher?

Anyway, I'd appreciate any thoughts that have nothing to do with trading. The only people who do trade in my league aren't interested in any players I'm willing to give up. Not even Pujols, which is sad...

WHIR 100%. Will be around for another hour or so, and again in the morning. Cheers!

The league is 12 team H2H.

I would drop some combination of Norris, Swisher, and Brantley for Matusz and Morse

Help with mine?

Specific ideas/reasons about any of the players would be nice.
