Trade Holliday for 2 SPs not everyone believes in yet but have been superb this year and take your chances. Generally, risking buying high to win is the only way to do it. Who cares about 3rd vs 6th unless there's money involved, 1st or bust for me.

Yes. In a 16 team deep H2H daily line up league, the risk on the first day is mitigated by the week to come, IMO, so I usually trundle SPs out the first two or three days regardless. I know this logic might not appeal to everyone but I did say IMO..........

I'm benching Bumgarner. He's had a good month, but the most potent team he faced in May were the Rockies (9th in runs). All the other teams he faced this month (FLA, WAS, LAD, & CHC) ranked 16th-26th. STL,with Holliday back today, has one of the (if not the) scariest lineups in the league.
My opinion might change as the day goes on (depending how my other SPs do today), but as of right now I have him on my bench.
I had Bumgarner in initially but you all changed my mind. I'm plus 56 on innings pitched, so sounds like a good reason to bench him. Also benching Holland.
Benching Holland and Peavy in another league, starting E.Santana and McClellan for 2-starts in a weekly league.

I'm in a similar situation. Benching him to be safe. If he throws a gem, oh well I'll live and I'll trot him out there next time
