Which SP possibly gets dealt?

Let's look at who the best player(s) are in this trade:

Pujols is still the best, bar none. I know he's down a bit, but it's only a small 2 month window vs a 10 year dominant history. I'm sure the contract stuff is on his mind, but I doubt seriously he doesn't begin cranking soon.

As for the pitching side, right now Verlander is the best. But, when your considering trading both Gallardo and Strasburg for him, to me, that's simply too much.

Outfield - long term it's Hayward. He's struggling a bit this year with his shoulder, but long term, he should be the dominant OF.

So, in short, you're looking at giving up the best player, the best OF long term, and two premier pitchers long term for one.

I'd stay put.

Thanks. I tweaked it to this:

GET: Verlander
GIVE: Heyward and Strasburg.

We keep 4. Strasburg is out all season and Heyward will be great but is more iffy for this year. Meanwhile, Verlander is an ace who I possibly could keep. I maintain the rest of the rotation (which would be loaded if this happened) and of course Pujols.

That's much better- but if you only keep four, I'm not sure the other guy likes this deal as much. That being said, I'd give it a real shot.
