TRADE HAMILTON * WHIR ALWAYS *

Postby Seanyfever » Sun May 29, 2011 1:14 pm

I am sure the owner is going to end of tweaking this before he emails me, but he sent me email (not offer) that he was thinking about this offer?

I GET: His Granderson, Beckett, and Carpenter
I GIVE: My Hamilton, Beckham, Madson

I am thinking he will put himself in a run for one of my other closers.....

You're loosing some good bats at the end of the year, Hamilton being one. With you getting all those players for 3 years, I think it's a good deal for you. Loosing Hamilton sucks, but Granderson seems to have got his swing down. Carpenter is struggling, but getting him and Beckett for Becham and Madson is a steal!

I agree, the pitching gains are too much to pass up... I would take this trade.

I would do this deal. Getting Carpenter AND Beckett is too good a deal to pass on.

I think you have to do it because you are losing Hamilton this year if you don't move him anyway. I'd shop it a bit but this is a deal that I would accept. Thanks for the help on mine.

I think this is a fair trade and helps your team. The fact that you'd have to shop Hamilton anyway is what sealed the deal for me. Good trade.

Help with mine? viewtopic.php?f=26&t=431966

To me, you have to pull the trigger, then throw in the fact that you'd be losing Hamilton at the end of the year anyway and it is automatic. Thanks for the help on mine.

This is my first year in a league with contracts, but it looks to me like you are getting some decent pitching plus an above average hitter for Hamilton who you would lose at the end of the year anyway. You're pitching took a hit with Wandy going on the DL and Hughes having issues. I'd explore the option of dealing Hamilton for a top 10 pitcher and a hitter before accepting this deal though. Carpenter is definitely struggling. I'd aim for a younger pitcher in some kind of deal...Weaver, Hamels, Kershaw, Price.

Manager ended up getting Tex straight up for Beckett. I can't blame him for taking it and not extending offer to me.

Thanks for help Boys.
