I would not do this deal as Carpenter is starting to look better and Perez will have a ton of saves this year.

No I wouuldn't do this deal. I like Carpenter and his stuff has looked fine, he just has been pitching in bad luck. I don't see how you can afford to lose Perez unless the extra spot you are opening by this trade you have a good closer available on waivers for some reason. I much prefer Carpenter and Perez. Thanks for the help on mine.

I think you are giving up more than you should. I still have some faith that Carp could offer near what Greinke does. Perez is just too much cream in your situaiton.
