He was just dropped in my 7x7 12 team H2H league. (R, HR, RBI, SB, TB, AVG, OPS, W, SV, HLD, K, ERA, WHIP, QS)

I have number 1 waiver priority.. Do i use it on him? or wait till someone better comes along?
I have David wright sitting on DL right now so i picked up Danny valencia to replace him short term..

Alvarez isn't your typical #1 waiver priority guy, so, my first instinct is to say no and hold on to your spot. Then again, it kind of depends on how active your league is, too. If your league mates have been making lots of waiver pickups, and you have the #1 waiver, I'm guessing that means your waiver priority's worth holding on to. If not, then using your #1 spot on Alvarez isn't an entirely bad idea. I'm not sold on Alvarez's upside, though, so, all things being equal, I'd probably pass.
